Paying Attention to other people
- As you speak with other people, pay intensive attention to body language signals in conversation. If you continue talking long after they have mentally not interested, you may find yourself alone, or worse, not invited to the next mutual communication. The moment you realize you’ve spoken too much, take a break, and give someone else a chance to talk.
- Always try to have a sense of other's interests and points of concern, that's why you have to know everything about something, and something about everything. One of the most important rules of conversation is to share what others are talking about, but that will be impossible if you do not have any idea what they are talking about, surely no one is required to know details about everything, but at least to be aware and familiar with topics of general interest.
- Eye Contact: Try to communicate with your eyes, where eye communication is one the most techniques that provide the other with necessary attention and love, therefore eye communication is certainly one of the major Conversation Etiquette rules.
- Gentle Smile: Handshake must be accompanied by a gentle smile between people, which is one of the most effective rules of handshake, so handshake achieves its desired objective, which is to increase respect, communication, and affection. Smile is the best tool to deliver that message.
